About this program
Wall pilates is mat pilates with a wall to press against: it guides your position, adds resistance and makes the moves easier to learn. Four 25–30 minute sessions a week for 28 days, slow and controlled: core, glutes and legs, arms and posture, then everything together. Expect a stronger core, steadier balance and better posture in four weeks. Like any workout it burns a modest number of calories, so for fat loss pair it with daily steps and a small calorie deficit.
Who it’s for
- New to training, or coming back after a break.
- For everyone.
- A mat (a strap or towel and a cushion help).
- 4 sessions a week, about 25 minutes each.
- 8–10k steps a day on top of the workouts.

How to progress
- Hold each pose a few seconds longer, or add a round, every week or two while it still feels steady.
- Breathe slowly through the nose; if you can’t, ease off a little.
- Mild stretch, never pain: back off if a joint complains.
Food
For fat loss, a small deficit (about 300–500 kcal a day) with 1.6–2.2 g of protein per kg of body weight; otherwise eat at maintenance. Walk every day: it does more for fat loss than any pilates move.
